As quite a few of you know, I'm a little homophobic. I'm not like totally alienate you kinda homophobic, but more of a.. spare me the details kind of homophobic.
But the thing that bugs me alot is the whole controversial talk about the links to the bible and if homosexuality is condemned. And if it is, why are there churches for the homosexuals and what teachings do they do?
The bible is always the same, it never changes. So whatever I read has to certainly exist in their bibles as well.
Ok, I know this is starting to sound very bad. So I think I should state this first before I go on. It does state that homosexuality is a sin in the bible, in both new and old testaments. But sins included are also adultery, murder, stealing, etc. And I don't see why homosexuality is elevated to such an extent compared to the other sins.
Now that I've said that, please know that that is my concluded emotion and not any more exaggerated from that.
And since alot of rules from the Old Testament state things like no consumption of Pork, etc. I shan't dwell on the Old Testament since Jesus died on the cross for our sins and things have changed. So, New Testament:
1 Tim 1: 8-10 "We know that the law is good, provided that one uses it as law, with the understanding that law is meant not for a righteous person but for the lawless and the unruly, the godless and the sinful, the unholy and profane, those who kill their fathers or mothers, murders, the unchaste, homosexuals, kidnapers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is opposed to sound teaching,"
1 Cor. 6:9-10 "Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God."
Rom. 1:26-28 "For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper."
And I think the reason I feel most homophobic, comes from the last verse in Romans. It talks about the natural functions. You can't argue against nature. If something can't be done a certain way, it was not meant to be done like that.
Sex is created to reproduce. If both of the same gender cannot reproduce by having sex with each other, doesn't that say something about how it isn't natural?
Everything was created for a reason. And everything is beautiful in God's creation. Like Aaron said in cell- Science is actually something beautiful, but man just made it corrupt.
And so this is just from the bible's point of view of course. I'm just countering the bible evidence for homosexuality- that the bible does state about homosexuality. Homosexuality is a sin, but again, I don't see why it's being seen as something much worse than stealing or lying or adultery.
I'm not against homosexuals of course, I mean, they're just people.

Married.
Trying for kids but in no rush for one.
Quaint, clean house with a backyard for the dog.
Or dogs.
All probably adopted or rescued.
Working with some job to do with animals.
...duh.
